Overview
SERA is well aware of the importance of safety, occupational health, and the environment (K3L) in running a sustainable business. To that end, we are committed to minimizing all risks that may arise in company activities, including risks related to safety, occupational health, and the environment (K3L).
This commitment aims to ensure that there are no workplace accidents, employee health issues, or environmental pollution that could hinder the Company's sustainable business operations.
This is also part of SERA's commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 3 (Good Health and Well-being), point 4 (Quality Education), point 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), point 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), point 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and point 13 (Climate Action).
In practice, risk control is carried out by implementing the following programs:
- Travel Management, Driving Safety, Chemical Control, Vehicle Maintenance Safety programs, reinforced by monitoring their implementation and conducting investigations in the event of workplace accidents, as well as taking corrective and preventive measures.
- Programs to ensure employee readiness for work through periodic health checks (Medical Check Up/MCU), fatigue management and testing (Fatigue Test), and Drug and Alcohol Testing.
- Environmental Protection Program through waste management in accordance with requirements and increasing the amount of managed waste, implementation of environmentally friendly transportation operations (Green Transport) by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the mix of new and renewable energy based on baseline data.
- Development programs related to Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS).
- Programs to raise awareness and concern among employees and related parties regarding Occupational Safety and Health, Driving Safety, Healthy Living, and Environmentally Friendly Behavior on a regular basis.
Implementation Standards
We also ensure that the process complies with systematic implementation standards using the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) method and has been certified against several management systems, including:
- ISO 45001: 2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard) for the operational areas of Transportation Solution and Logistics
- ISO 39001: 2012 (Road Traffic Safety Management System Standard) for logistics operational areas and Tourism Bus operations
- ISO 14001: 2018 (Environmental Management System Standard) for logistics operational areas
- SMK3 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System in accordance with Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012) for logistics operational areas
We are also committed to complying with the internal requirements of Astra Group (Astra Green Company/AGC) and the Mining Safety Management System.
